Beyoncé Halts Performance After Car Malfunction at Houston Show: “Stop, Stop, Stop!

Beyoncé experienced a brief hiccup during her concert at NRG Stadium in Houston on Saturday night while performing as part of her “Cowboy Carter” tour. The Houston native, who was in her hometown for a show, paused mid-performance due to a malfunction with a flying-car prop. She was high above the audience in a red car, singing “16 Carriages,” when she suddenly urged the crew to stop the performance.

Footage from the incident spread quickly on social media. In a video shared by fan Samantha Flores, the car appeared to be tilting significantly to one side just as Beyoncé called for the performance to halt. This moment was particularly striking as Beyoncé is known for her seamless live shows and rarely stops mid-performance.

Despite the concern from fans, Beyoncé maintained her composure. As some audience members shouted for her to be brought down safely, she reassured them, saying, “If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.” Once back on solid ground, she finished the song and continued to engage with the crowd.

Beyoncé, who is set to perform another show in Houston, took to Instagram after the concert to share her love for her hometown. She posted a carousel of images from the night, including a photo of her in the tilted car, captioned, “I love you, Houston.” Her “Cowboy Carter” tour, which began in late April, features a setlist with both her latest hits and beloved favorites.

Highlights from her performances include songs like “Ya Ya,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Irreplaceable.” Additionally, she had a special surprise appearance in Paris with Miley Cyrus, expressing mutual admiration for one another during a duet.
