FBI Uncovers Arsenal of Weapons and Nazi Memorabilia During Washington State Home Raid
SEATTLE — Authorities in Washington state uncovered a significant cache of weaponry and armor during a raid on a home, which included a machine gun, grenade launchers, and Nazi paraphernalia. Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders revealed these details in a Facebook post, explaining that the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) sought assistance from his office as an FBI special weapons and tactics team executed a search warrant in Lacey, just near Olympia. The raid was initiated following investigations into a violent robbery involving military weaponry.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle confirmed that the search warrant stemmed from an ongoing inquiry associated with an assault at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. This base is situated just north of Olympia. According to Sheriff Sanders, two individuals were arrested and are now held at Thurston County Jail, facing investigations on firearms-related charges.
He mentioned the suspects were connected to Nazi White Nationalist activities. Further information about the case is anticipated to be included in a federal criminal complaint, which is set to be unsealed on Wednesday. The two arrested individuals are expected to make their initial appearances at U.S. District Court in Tacoma later that afternoon.
Sheriff Sanders reported that agents seized a total of 35 firearms from the residence, including short-barreled rifles and an MG42 machine gun, a weapon first used by German troops in World War II. The recovery also included grenade launchers, explosives, body armor, ammunition, ballistic helmets, and multiple rifles strategically positioned near windows throughout the home. Photos released show a disturbing inventory of weapons alongside Nazi memorabilia, including a red flag adorned with a black swastika.
